Moscow. 30 August 2021. The first stage of the “Sniper Frontier” competition was launched at the National Military Training Center.
After the opening ceremony, teams immediately moved to the range No.1 to start the competition. The contest 1: “Qualification” is in the individual stage. In this contest, target is a special one (А3 sheet 425х297 mm with a dot in the center with a diameter of 2 cm) at a distance of 300-500 m. Time for preparation: 1 min. On the command “Fire”, the snipers fire 10 shots in 3 mins.
The sniper’s result is the total points they get by the edge of the hole to the targets. If there are more than 10 hits in the target, the result is counted with the best hits. In case, two or more snipers get equal points, the one who gets more best points (10, 9, 8…) will be the winner.
Even thought, it is the individual contest, the result of each sniper is the basis for ranking in the first stage of each team and will help the Organizing Board classify teams in the second stage.
