Farnborough, UK. 26 July 2026. As drones increasingly redefine the modern battlefield, the race to detect, pursue and neutralise hostile unmanned systems is becoming as important as the deployment of drones themselves. Against this rapidly changing operational backdrop, UK-based Infortecorp Solutions Limited and Aero Solutions UAV Limited have announced a Joint Venture to bring advanced unmanned aerial systems and counter-drone technologies to the Indian defence market, with the purpose-built Venom Interceptor UAV at the heart of their C-UAS offering.
Announced at Farnborough, the partnership combines Infortecorp’s expertise in defence business development, strategic partnerships and market access with Aero Solutions UAV Limited’s unmanned aircraft technologies. The JV aims to address India’s evolving defence and homeland security requirements while developing a longer-term industrial footprint through technology collaboration, manufacturing, system integration and lifecycle support in India.
A key element of the partnership will be the introduction of the Venom Interceptor UAV, a purpose-built Counter-Unmanned Aircraft System (C-UAS) platform designed for the rapid detection, pursuit and interception of hostile or unauthorised drones. Designed for quick launch and rapid response, the Venom is intended to protect a wide spectrum of sensitive and high-value assets, ranging from military installations and airports to government facilities and critical national infrastructure.
The increasing proliferation of small and relatively inexpensive unmanned systems has dramatically changed the threat environment for armed forces and security agencies worldwide. Counter-UAS capability has consequently emerged as a critical requirement for protecting both frontline military formations and strategic infrastructure. The JV’s plans extend beyond the Venom interceptor. Infortecorp and Aero Solutions UAV intend to introduce a broader portfolio of unmanned aircraft platforms configured for different operational requirements.
These systems are expected to support Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), border and coastal security, tactical operations, maritime surveillance, infrastructure inspection, disaster response and environmental monitoring. Mission-specific configurations would enable platforms to be adapted for different users and operational environments, widening their potential applications across defence, homeland security and specialist government requirements.
Raju Keerchipally, Co-Founder, Infortecorp Solutions Limited, said, “We are delighted to establish this Joint Venture with Aero Solutions UAV Limited to bring advanced unmanned systems and counter-UAS technologies to India. Together, we are committed to delivering reliable, mission-ready solutions while supporting indigenous capability development through technology collaboration, local partnerships, and innovation.” His remarks underline the JV’s intention to build an ecosystem around the technology rather than merely introduce products into the Indian market.
Significantly, the partnership envisages an industrial engagement in India rather than limiting its ambitions to the supply of imported platforms. The JV plans to pursue technology collaboration, local industrial partnerships, system integration, manufacturing, training, Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO), and lifecycle support within India. Such an approach is intended to contribute to India’s defence modernisation while supporting the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat through indigenous capability development, industrial participation and long-term technology partnerships.
Stewart Clifford, CEO & Founder, Aero Solutions UAV Limited, highlighted India’s growing importance in the international defence marketplace. “India is one of the world’s most important and fastest-growing defence markets. Through this Joint Venture, we look forward to introducing the Venom Interceptor UAV and our wider portfolio of advanced unmanned systems while building long-term industrial and technology partnerships that strengthen India’s defence capabilities.”
Infortecorp Solutions Limited is a UK-based aerospace and defence company specialising in advanced engineering solutions, aerospace systems, defence technologies and strategic international partnerships. Aero Solutions UAV Limited is a UK-based developer and manufacturer of advanced unmanned aerial systems, delivering mission-specific UAV solutions for defence, homeland security and specialist government applications. By bringing these complementary capabilities together, the companies are positioning the JV across two rapidly expanding areas of modern defence—the deployment of unmanned platforms and the development of systems capable of defeating the growing drone threat.
The Infortecorp-Aero Solutions UAV Joint Venture comes at a time when unmanned systems and counter-UAS technologies are becoming integral to contemporary military and homeland security operations. While the Venom Interceptor UAV provides the partnership with a focused entry into India’s growing counter-drone requirement, its ambitions extend considerably further—from ISR, maritime and border surveillance to local integration, manufacturing, training and MRO. If translated into sustained industrial partnerships on the ground, the JV could represent not merely the arrival of another unmanned platform in India, but an opportunity to build indigenous capability around one of the fastest-evolving domains of modern warfare.
