New Delhi. 10 May 2026. The book 31 Dec 2088 :  Life Before & After World War III authored  by Col. Dr. Mohinder Pal Singh, this distinguished publication was brought out in 2026 by the reputed publishing house Pentagon Press. The volume consists of 17 chapters and extends over 148 pages. The review of the book is as follows.

What if the future does not arrive the way humanity expects it to? The author of this book might have asked the same question before bringing Jeevan Malhotra to life, the narrator of the book who pens down his life in his diary before parting from this world at the age of 90 with happiness and contentment. Nobody in 2088 lives beyond the age of night because of an act passed by the government.

This book is a work of imagination in which the author has stepped into the world before and after World War 3. The readers would find a lot of unexpected twists and turns while living the future through the protagonist’s eyes. He writes about the horror of cyber-attacks by unknowns, the endemic that affected all the fish eaters and the world getting converted into several ‘Nation Groups’ governed by a Multinational Global Group, instead of individual nations.

The Earth faces threats from extra-terrestrial beings, which are collectively fought back through the idea of creating a protection dome covering the entire planet. Jeevan writes in his diary about remarkable discoveries that shake the imagination of the readers, like the Biometric Identification Chip that every human carries inside their body from birth itself.

Towards the end of the book, Jeevan shares his concern about changing human relationships, where elders no longer live with their families and even die without meeting them. He describes living through a world where Neo Banking Systems run the market and Reformed Legal Acts that challenge the outdated idea of Law we used to follow.

The author, has beautifully crafted the thoughts and speculations that every person makes about the future and given them life. His penmanship becomes the readers’ gateway to how their future may look in the coming decades. This book is highly recommended to those whose mind thinks and can create futuristic thoughts, someone who is willing to look beyond the realm of their intellectual limitations. Perhaps someone who is ready to step into 2088.
