Sitabuldi Fort, a majestic historic stronghold and the famous battleground of the 1817 Battle of Sitabuldi, will be open to visitors by Indian nationals on the occasion of Independence Day on 15 August 2026, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. 

Entry to the fort will be through the CSD gate opposite Kims Kingsway Hospital upon presentation of valid identity proof (Aadhaar card). Visitors can enjoy rare, panoramic views of the city and step back in time to explore the fort’s rich colonial history, classic Maratha architecture, hidden underground tunnels, and a war memorial.
