Toulose based Bizlab has chosen India as a second destination after Hamburg, Germany. The investments in BizLab are part of a $2-billion annual spend by the aircraft maker into research and development. “In India, we are looking forward to a wide range of start-ups not necessarily in the avionics and aerospace sector so that we can explore interlinking opportunities,” said Bruno Gutierres, head of Airbus BizLabs.
“India is a strategic for Airbus and we are committed to increasing our footprint in the country,” said Dr. Kiran Rao, Airbus EVP Strategy and Marketing. “Setting up Airbus Bizlab Bangalore, reinforces this commitment by further enhancing India’s aerospace entrepreneurial eco-system.”
