New Delhi/Mumbai. 21 June 2026. Family businesses are built on more than balance sheets and boardroom decisions. They are built on sacrifices unseen, lessons passed from one generation to the next, and values that become stronger with time. The true measure of a legacy is not the size of the enterprise it creates, but the character it instils in those who inherit it.

As Continental Carriers approaches seven decades of excellence in logistics and supply chain management, the Vohra family represents a remarkable story of continuity and evolution. Founded in 1957 by Late Shri T. N. Vohra, nurtured and expanded by Chairman Vipin Vohra and now being steered into the future by Vaibhav Vohra, Managing Director and Viraj Vohra, Director, the company stands as a testament to the power of family values in business.
On the occasion of Father’s Day, Aviation & Defence Universe brings together a father and his sons for a candid conversation on legacy, leadership, responsibility and the lessons that transcend generations. This is not merely a discussion about succession planning or corporate growth. It is a story about trust handed down like an heirloom, values carried forward like a compass, and a family that understands that every generation inherits not a finish line, but a responsibility to build further.
ADU. Mr. Vipin Vohra, when you look at Vaibhav and Viraj leading Continental Carriers today, what gives you the greatest satisfaction?
Vipin Vohra. It is a matter of immense pride and gratitude. My father, Late Shri T. N. Vohra, founded Continental Carriers in 1957 with a vision built on integrity, hard work, and customer trust. I have had the privilege of nurturing and expanding that vision over the last five decades. Today, seeing my sons, Vaibhav and Viraj, actively leading the organization gives me great satisfaction. It is not merely the continuation of a business; it is the continuation of values and principles that have guided us for nearly seven decades.
ADU. Vaibhav and Viraj, what does it mean to carry forward a company founded by your grandfather and nurtured by your father?

Vaibhav Vohra. For me, it is both a privilege and a responsibility. I have grown up watching my grandfather’s vision and my father’s dedication transform Continental Carriers into one of India’s most respected logistics organizations. Being entrusted with this legacy means carrying forward decades of trust, relationships, and values while preparing the company for the future. I also feel fortunate to be sharing this responsibility with my brother, Viraj, as together we work towards building on the foundation laid by our grandfather and strengthened by our father.
Viraj Vohra. For me, it is both inspiring and humbling. I grew up hearing stories about how my grandfather built the company from the ground up and watching my father dedicate his life to expanding it into a respected global logistics brand. Being part of the third generation means carrying forward a legacy that was built through decades of hard work and trust. It is an opportunity to contribute my own ideas while respecting the foundation laid by the generations before me.
Lessons That Travel Across Generations
ADU. Mr. Vohra, what are the most important lessons your father taught you that still guide you today?
Vipin Vohra. My father taught me that integrity is non-negotiable and that the customer is king. He always believed that long-term relationships are built on trust, honesty, and consistent service. He would often remind me that success is not measured by how much business you do, but by how many people trust you with their business. These lessons continue to guide me every day.
ADU. And what lessons from your father have shaped your own leadership journeys Vaibhav & Viraj?

Viraj Vohra. My father taught me that success is never an overnight achievement—it is the result of patience, perseverance and consistency. He always emphasized that relationships are the true assets of any business. More importantly, he taught me to remain grounded regardless of success and to treat every customer, employee and business partner with respect.
Vaibhav Vohra. My father taught me that success is built on credibility, consistency, and commitment. He always emphasized that customers may remember the service you provide, but they never forget the integrity with which you conduct business. One of the greatest lessons he taught both Viraj and me is that success is meaningful only when it is built on trust and shared with the people around you.
The Vohra Family Formula: Values First
ADU. What leadership qualities have travelled from grandfather to father and now to sons?
Vipin Vohra. I consciously adopted my father’s emphasis on ethics, customer commitment and leading by example. While the core values remain unchanged, I embraced technology, global partnerships and modern management practices to meet the evolving demands of the logistics industry.
Vaibhav Vohra. I have adopted my father’s unwavering commitment to customers, ethical business practices and relationship-building. At the same time, my generation is focused on leveraging technology, data-driven decision-making and global connectivity to drive growth.
Viraj Vohra. From my father, I have learned the importance of integrity, commitment and taking a long-term view of business. From my brother Vaibhav, I have learned the value of strategic thinking and execution. Our generation’s contribution is to complement these strengths with greater agility, technology adoption and a more global outlook.
Advice That Became a Guiding Principle
ADU. What is the single most valuable piece of advice that has stayed with each of you?

Vipin Vohra. “Always put the customer first, and never compromise on your integrity.” Reputation takes years to build and only moments to lose.
Vaibhav Vohra. “Never take a shortcut that compromises your reputation.” Markets change, technologies evolve and businesses grow, but trust remains the most valuable asset any organization can possess.
Viraj Vohra. “Listen more than you speak.” The best decisions are made when you understand people, situations and perspectives before reacting.
Preserving the Legacy While Embracing the Future
ADU. Family businesses often struggle to balance tradition with innovation. How has Continental Carriers achieved this balance?
Vipin Vohra. The foundation of Continental Carriers remains exactly as my father envisioned—trust, service
excellence and ethical business practices. While these values are timeless, the methods evolve. Our philosophy is simple: preserve the values, embrace the future.
Vaibhav Vohra. We look at our values as our foundation and innovation as our growth engine. Trust, integrity and customer-centricity remain non-negotiable, while we continuously invest in technology, infrastructure and new capabilities.
Viraj Vohra. Tradition and innovation are not opposites—they strengthen each other. Our values provide stability, while innovation drives progress. We continue to uphold the principles that built Continental Carriers while embracing technologies and opportunities that will shape the future of logistics.
Passing the Baton Across Generations
ADU. What has been the secret behind successfully transitioning the business from one generation to the next?
Vipin Vohra. Mutual respect, transparency and a shared commitment to the organization’s long-term vision. We have never viewed the business merely as a commercial enterprise but as a legacy and responsibility.
Vaibhav Vohra. The secret lies in respecting both legacy and change. Every generation has honoured the principles established by the previous one while bringing its own perspective to the business.
Viraj Vohra. I think the secret lies in learning before leading. Both my brother and I had the opportunity to understand the business from the ground level and benefit from our father’s guidance. There has always been openness to new ideas while maintaining respect for experience.
Legacy and Identity
ADU. As custodians of a family legacy, how do you balance preserving it while creating your own identity?
Vipin Vohra. My responsibility is to ensure that the values and culture established by my father remain strong while giving the next generation the freedom to innovate and lead. My role is to provide guidance based on experience while encouraging them to build their own identity.
Vaibhav Vohra. Both Viraj and I see ourselves as custodians of a legacy built over nearly seven decades. Our responsibility is not only to preserve that legacy but also to strengthen it and make it future-ready.
Viraj Vohra. I see my responsibility as building on the legacy rather than simply inheriting it. The previous generations created a strong platform for growth, and it is now our responsibility to take the organization into new markets, new opportunities and new areas of growth.
A Father Through His Sons’ Eyes
ADU. If you had to describe Mr. Vipin Vohra in three words as a businessman and as a father, what would they be?
Vaibhav Vohra. As a businessman: visionary, resilient and principled. As a father: supportive, motivating and grounding.
Viraj Vohra. As a businessman: visionary, disciplined and dependable. As a parent: encouraging, patient and inspiring.
ADU. And Mr. Vohra, how would you describe your own father?
Vipin Vohra. As a businessman, visionary, principled and determined. As a parent, supportive, disciplined and inspiring. He led by example, and his actions taught us far more than his words ever could.
A Message to Future Generations
ADU. What message would each of you like to share with young entrepreneurs preparing to inherit and lead family businesses?
Vipin Vohra. Respect the legacy you inherit, but do not be afraid to create your own path. Businesses may grow through innovation, but they endure through trust, integrity and relationships.
Vaibhav Vohra. Do not view a family business as an inheritance—view it as a responsibility. A strong legacy opens doors, but it is your vision, commitment and actions that determine how far you go.
Viraj Vohra. You inherit a foundation, not a finish line. What you build on it is what truly defines your journey.
The story of Continental Carriers is not simply the story of a successful logistics company. It is the story of a family that has preserved its values while adapting to changing times. From the vision of Late Shri T. N. Vohra to the leadership of Vipin Vohra and the stewardship of Vaibhav and Viraj Vohra, the journey reflects the enduring strength of trust, integrity and relationships. On Father’s Day, the Vohra family reminds us that the greatest inheritance is not a business empire, but the values that enable future generations to build upon it.
