New Delhi, 03 November 2026: In accordance with the guidelines issued by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), Government of India, the Indo–Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) successfully conducted Special Campaign 6.0 across its various battalions and formations located throughout the country. The campaign was conducted in two phases from 15 September to 31 October 2026, with the primary objective of institutionalising cleanliness in government offices, ensuring clean and well–organised office premises, optimising the utilisation of available space and expediting the disposal of pending matters.

As part of the campaign, extensive cleanliness drives were undertaken by various ITBP battalions and formations within their respective areas of responsibility. During these drives, office premises, administrative buildings, residential areas, barracks, training locations and other public spaces were thoroughly cleaned, while identified areas were also beautified.

During the campaign, unserviceable and obsolete items, along with scrap material, were disposed of in accordance with prescribed procedures. Electronic waste (e- waste) was collected, properly segregated and disposed of safely. Furthermore, with a view to ensuring optimum utilisation of available office space, old and unnecessary items were removed, making workplaces more organised and efficient.

To enhance administrative efficiency and ensure timely disposal of official matters, special emphasis was laid on the review of physical records, weeding out of unnecessary records in accordance with prescribed procedures, closure of pending e- files and expeditious disposal of pending references and cases at various levels.

During the campaign, officers and Himveers were sensitised towards the importance of cleanliness and effective office management. All concerned units also ensured proper documentation of the progress of activities, along with the timely compilation and submission of prescribed data in accordance with the stipulated guidelines.

Through Special Campaign 6.0, ITBP has further reinforced its commitment to developing a clean, well–organised and efficient office environment while promoting transparency, accountability and administrative efficiency. The campaign has not only proved to be a significant initiative towards making cleanliness an integral part of the daily work culture but has also contributed to the optimum utilisation of resources and effective disposal of pending matters.
