Cairo. 04 December 2021. The activities of the second international exhibition for defense and military industries, EDEX 2021, which was organized from November 29 to December 2, Its activities took place at the Egypt Center for International Exhibitions at the Egypt Center for International Conferences and Exhibitions, where the inauguration of the exhibition was witnessed by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and a number of ministers and military delegations from different countries of the world that included many defense ministers, chiefs of staff and ministers of military production from different countries of the world
General Mohamed Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production stressed during his speech at the opening session that the Egyptian Armed Forces were and still are the safe bastion of the capabilities of this nation, and that possessing the strength aims to preserve the security and safety of the nation.
President El-Sisi, accompanied by delegations of participating countries, toured the exhibition’s pavilions, which included products for more than 350 exhibitors from 42 countries around the world.
The exhibition activities also witnessed extensive meetings of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, and Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces with the delegations of the participating countries.
The meetings dealt with ways of military cooperation and support for military relations between Egypt and all participating countries, as well as exchanging experiences in the fields of military industrialization and supporting security and stability efforts in the Middle East.

The leaders of the military delegations participating in the exhibition praised the pavilion of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the advanced military industries it contains, which reflect Egypt’s right path towards breaking into the field of military industrialization.
The four days of the exhibition witnessed an intense turnout of visitors and those interested in the defense and military industries, who praised Egypt’s ability to organize global international events comparable to all developed countries and stressed that Egypt is a country of security and safety, which sends a message of peace from Egypt to all countries of the world.
The leaders of the main services and a number of senior commanders of the Armed Forces met with a number of delegations and representatives of international companies. The meetings dealt with means of support and military and security cooperation.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, the Egyptian Armed Forces signed several memoranda of understanding and armament contracts that support the combat capabilities of the Egyptian Armed Forces.
General Mohamed Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, also made an observation tour that included passing through the exhibiting companies, where he thanked all the companies and exhibitors for their efforts and their honorable appearance, which reflects the importance of the exhibition for all those interested in the field of armaments and defense systems. The visitors who indicated the extent to which the exhibition achieved its objectives, which is to learn about everything new in the field of armament, in line with the successive development of all advanced armament systems. Lieutenant-General Osama Askar, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of, passed by the pavilions of the exhibition, and was keen to thank the participating elements in the exhibition, expressing his appreciation for their efforts.
The exhibition activities were concluded with the military music presenting a distinguished artistic performance, as well as the firing of fiery arrows in the sky of Cairo, as a culmination of the successful closing ceremony of the Second International Exhibition for Defense and Military Industries “EDEX 2021”.​
