Sydney — 15th February 2023 — Business software developer Prophecy International Holdings Ltd (ASX: PRO, “Prophecy” or “the Company”) is pleased to advise that the Company has been selected by the Australian Government Department of Defence Export Office to participate in trade missions as part of Team Defence Australia (TDA).

TDA is the premier national platform for export-capable Australian companies with defence capabilities to showcase their goods, services, technology and solutions at international trade events.
TDA works with defence industry, the Office of Defence Industry Support (ODIS), Austrade and state and territory governments to help prepare Australian companies to attend overseas trade shows and ensure they maximise their international exposure. This model represents a cost-effective opportunity for Australian companies looking to export their products and services and benchmark themselves internationally. TDA procures trade show floor space and builds the exhibition stand, with companies only needing to finance their flights and accommodation.

Prophecy’s first engagement as part of TDA will be an exhibition on the Australia Pavilion at the Defence Security Equipment International (DSEI) show to be held in Chiba, Japan on 15–17 March 2023.

DSEI Japan will bring the global defence and security sector together with the entire Japanese and wider Asian defence community to innovate, partner and share knowledge under one roof across three days.

Exhibiting at DSEI Japan represents an ideal opportunity for Prophecy to leverage its new relationship with Jupiter Technology Corp (JTC), first announced in the Company’s Q1 FY23 Business Growth Update. JTC is a leading provider of log and network management and security in Japan serving more than 5,000 enterprise customers. Since the partnership commenced, JTC has become Prophecy’s registered distributor for Snare in Japan and has committed to provide in-country Japanese language sales, support and technical staff for Snare enterprise customers, of whom Prophecy now has approximately 20 in Japan.

Japan represents a strategic growth opportunity for Prophecy given the country’s membership alongside Australia in the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (“Quad”) and in light of near-term growth in the Japanese defence budget, approved to increase by 20% in 2023 to a record 6.8 trillion yen (US$55 billion).

Two JTC staff will exhibit on the Prophecy booth at DSEI Japan alongside Prophecy Senior Vice President of APAC Sales Stuart Geros.

Membership of this group marks Prophecy as a key supporter of the Australian Government’s sovereign industrial capabilities. As an Australian specialist in sovereign cybersecurity software, Prophecy is uniquely placed to provide Defence organisations with the capabilities needed to defend against attacks in and through the information and cyber environment and in the electromagnetic spectrum.

“Our presence at DSEI Japan is expected to be the first of several international defence export trade shows that will open up to Prophecy in 2023 thanks to our membership of Team Defence Australia.”
