ITBP organises a commemorative day-long program to pay tributes to its bravehearts

New Delhi. 29 October 2021. National Police Memorial (NPM), Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) today organised a commemorative day to pay homage to its bravehearts who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty at the NPM, New Delhi. 

Sanjay Arora, DG ITBP and senior officers of the Force and family members paid tribute to martyrs in the evening. A band display program was also organised on the occasion.

The day-long program was organised in forenoon and in the evening sessions. 11 families of martyrs were felicitated at the NPM. The families paid tributes to the martyrs at the memorial and at the wall of valour. Apart from the martyr’s families, families of serving ITBP personnel also visited the memorial. The families visited the museum at the NPM. Films themed at valour and sacrifice of brave policemen of the nation were shown to the families and men of the Force.

A M Prasad, ADG ITBP felicitated the family members of the brave ITBP men who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty. ITBP and men and women band teams presented the band displays on the occasion.

Raised in 1962, the ITBP guards the 3,488 KMs India-China Borders. The Force is also deployed in various internal security duties.
