Cairo. 28 November 2021. The Egyptian Armed Forces organized a global press conference in the presence of various local and international media outlets to announce all the details of the International Defense and Military Industries “EDEX 2021” in its second session, which will take place in Egypt from November 29 to December 2, at the Egypt International Exhibition Center Under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and with the participation of major exhibitors and international companies in the field of armaments, defense and security industries at the regional and international levels.
The conference was attended by Major General Engineer Mohamed Ahmed Morsi, Minister of State for Military Production, Lieutenant-General Abdel Moneim Al Terras, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, Major General Osama Ahmed Ezzat, Head of the Armament Authority of the Armed Forces, Major General Harb Tariq Saad Zagloul, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab International Optical Company, and Mr. Thomas Gaunt, President of AWE in the Middle East region.
The conference dealt with all the details that highlight the interest and care of the political leadership for this exhibition to be a prominent global event among similar international exhibitions and conferences, as well as all the details that show full coordination between all ministries, authorities and institutions in the country for the exhibition to come out in a way that expresses Egypt’s international and global position. The conference stated that the exhibition includes 21 international wings in this session, in the presence of exhibitors from all over the world, to display the latest technologies in the fields of defense and armament, and that the exhibition will witness the attendance of many military delegations and receive more than 30 thousand visitors due to the international fame of the exhibition in that field. The conference included answering the questions of journalists and correspondents of international news agencies by those responsible for the exhibition to clarify all inquiries.
