Children challenged with severe illnesses and disabilities receive VIP treatment at Singapore Airshow 2024

Changi, Singapore. 28 February 2024. Over 60 children and their families from local hospitals enjoyed Singapore Airshow’s public display on 24^th and 25^th February whilst being treated like VIPs in corporate chalets. The chalets were donated by Embraer and Honeywell to the Barrie Wells Trust’s Box4Kids initiative, and generously facilitated by the Airshow’s organiser Experia Events. This is the second time the Box4Kids initiative has attended the Singapore Airshow.

The Barrie Wells Trust is a UK-based charity encouraging companies to donate corporate VIP boxes for the purpose of creating wonderful experiences and lifelong memories for children challenged with severe illnesses and disabilities. Trust Chairman Barrie Wells MBE is a former resident of Singapore.

The children had a number of fantastic VIP opportunities across the weekend, from watching the exciting aerobatic flying displays from VIP chalets, touring the aircraft exhibition, meet and greets with the Airshow’s mascot, AIA and RSAF pilots, and even experienced first-hand the interior of the planes on display such as AIA’s U.S. Corral.
