“Aerospace has been my passion since childhood days and throughout my professional career I have tried to contribute to this field and to India in whatever way I could. I am honoured to receive this award as it shows that following one’s dreams is the pathway to success,” said Ashish Saraf.
 
Ashish is the Vice-President – Industry Development, Strategic Partnerships and Offsets at Airbus Group India where he is driving the Group’s existing ‘Make in India’ initiatives and is conceiving new ones across all its three Divisions in order to increase their industrial footprint in India.
 
Prior to joining Airbus Group, Ashish headed the Tata–Sikorsky joint venture in Hyderabad and was also responsible for Sikorsky’s offsets, industrialization and strategic partnership initiatives in India.
 
Ashish started his career at Dassault Systemes followed by Deloitte Consulting.
 
Ashish holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business (Mktg.) Management from the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, India, a Diploma in Managing for Execution from Cornell University, New York and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology (NIT) Nagpur, India.
