Nagpur, Saturday, September 26, 2026 – Brigadier Manish Sharma, SM, Deputy Director General, Maharashtra Directorate visited NCC Group Nagpur on 26 and 27 Sep. During this period, he also made a visit to the units located in Yuva Shakti Bhavan, the under-construction site of Remote Pilot Training Organisation, 4 Mah Naval Unit, 2 Mah Air Squadron & 1 Mah & V Squadron.

Group Captain Khushal Vyas, ​Group Commander, NCC Group, Nagpur presented a comprehensive update to the Deputy Director General (DDG) on the ongoing National Cadet Corps (NCC) activities and strategic initiatives, particularly highlighting efforts across the remote and austere areas of Vidarbha, including rural Chandrapur and Gadchiroli districts.

The Group Commander emphasized the transformative impact that NCC training is having on youth throughout the region. Beyond core military training, the cadets have been actively spearheading Social Service and Community Development (SSCD) programs. These initiatives, undertaken in close collaboration with local stakeholders, continue to drive positive social change in rural and underdeveloped sectors.

The Group Commander also expressed deep gratitude for the steadfast support provided by the local district administrations and military formations. Their continuous backing and resource provision have played a pivotal role in enabling the NCC to successfully execute its mission and expand its reach throughout the region.

The DDG lauded the cadets for their impeccable turnout, sharp drill, high morale and exemplary discipline, noting that it reflected the quality of training and the dedication of the instructional staff. The DDG was highly appreciative of the concerted efforts and commended the NCC Group Nagpur for its outstanding outreach in the remote and aspirational districts of Vidarbha and exhorted all ranks to continue striving for excellence and to inspire more youth to join the NCC and the Armed Forces.
