Moscow. 18 August 2022. More than 395,000 spectators have visited the venues of International Army Games 2022 since its opening. More than 190,000 of them in the past 24 hours. This was announced  at the daily briefing for journalists at the Joint Press Centre of ARMY 2022 International Military and Technical Forum and International Army Games 2022 by Colonel General Alexander Lentsov, Chief Referee of the Games.

Opening ceremonies were held yesterday at 12 competitions, drawing of lots were held at 4 competitions and first stages were held at 13 competitions.

The Republic of Kazakhstan has launched Masters of Artillery Fire competition. At the end of the first stage of the Individual race, team of Kazakhstan is in the lead, with Russia in second place and Belarus in third.

Military Rally competition, which is being held for the first time in two states, Russia and Mongolia, also had its first stage. In Individual race the best result was shown by Russian drivers, the second was shown by servicemen from Belarus and the third by representatives of Uzbekistan.

Polar Star competition began yesterday in the Republic of Belarus. The top performer in the four exercises of the competition is Belarus, with Russia in second place and Uzbekistan in third.

Also the first stage Instrumental Genre (Duo) is completed at Army of Culture competition. Vietnamese Armed Forces creative team won the best award, followed by military musicians from Russia and Uzbekistan.

 

Participants in Tactical Shooter competition in Kazakhstan completed the third exercise – Defence of the first Single Shooter stage. Kazakhstani team leads in three exercises, followed by China and Uzbekistan. The shooters from Russia were in fourth place by a slight margin.

Military Medical Relay Race was launched in St Petersburg. After the first exercise Shooting with standard weapons, the places were distributed as follows: Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan.

According to preliminary results, the Russian Federation is now in the lead in the overall standings, followed by the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Today’s Games will include opening ceremonies at four competitions, drawing of lots will be held at four competitions and 22 competitions will be continued.
