Solus Power today announced its expansion into Central Europe as part of the company’s continued European growth strategy. Solus Power is at the forefront of an energy revolution, driven by the global shift towards sustainable, resilient, and innovative energy solutions. This strategic move broadens Solus Power’s reach across one of Europe’s most dynamic and interconnected regions, placing the organisation closer to key clients, suppliers, and emerging industrial markets.
Central Europe has rapidly emerged as a major manufacturing hub, becoming a global centre for EV battery production and advanced industrial development. The region benefits from its strategic geographic position, favourable logistics, competitive operating environment, and a highly skilled workforce. These strengths have made it one of the most attractive destinations for foreign direct investment, with many international companies selecting Central Europe and Hungary in particular as their European base.
Hungary plays a pivotal role within this landscape. Its electronics industry accounts for approximately 22 percent of national manufacturing output, making it the largest electronics producer in Central Europe and a key location for electronics assembly. The country’s position places it within a one day reach of 19 European nations, supported by a dense network of road and rail connections and integration with four major transport corridors. With well-developed infrastructure, including five international airports, alongside competitive freight and operational costs, Hungary has established itself as a leader in advanced manufacturing, engineering, and technology driven innovation.
The region is also experiencing significant growth in EV and battery production as it positions itself as a global hub for electric mobility. This includes extensive investment in developing end to end EV supply chains and energy storage capabilities. At the same time, Central Europe is shifting toward high value, innovation led manufacturing, supported by strong national incentives for research, development, digital transformation, and advanced engineering.
“Central Europe represents a major strategic opportunity for Solus Power. The region’s advanced manufacturing capability, strong engineering talent, and rapid growth in next generation energy technologies align perfectly with our mission to deliver innovative, reliable power solutions. Establishing a dedicated presence here allows us to support our customers more closely, accelerate our product development, and build long term partnerships that strengthen our global operations. This move marks an important milestone in Solus Power’s international expansion, and we are excited for the next phase of our growth in the region.”
