• With this deal, Indra’s leading cybersecurity company will expand its capabilities, enhance its product range and speed up its international expansion, thus strengthening its position in the Italian and European cybersecurity markets
  • Net Studio is one of the most innovative companies in the digital identity market, a field of increasing importance within the area of digitalization that has undergone rapid growth in Italy in recent years

Madrid. 14 October 2021. SIA, Indra’s leading cybersecurity company, will become one of the top firms in the cybersecurity sector in Italy and enhance its leadership throughout Europe following the purchase of Net Studio, a highly innovative Italian company that has excelled in the digital identity and access management market, thanks to one of the most comprehensive solution portfolios and customer service of the highest quality.

This acquisition will enable SIA to strengthen and expand its capabilities in the digital identity market, an area with great potential for growth, and provide its customers with a more robust product range and a service with greater reach. It will also accelerate its expansion abroad. The company currently offers services throughout Europe from its offices in Spain, Portugal, Germany and Italy. In Latin America it has customers in Colombia, Mexico and Brazil and operations in Panama and Peru, while in Asia it has a unit in the Philippines.

According to Luis Álvarez Satorre, SIA’s CEO, this operation “makes us one of the leading cybersecurity companies in Italy and one of the most important competitors in the European market. It consolidates our ambition to become the most advanced company offering digital identity solutions, a specialization that’s gaining increasing prominence in the protection of any organization”.

Identity protection is one of the most important growth levers for companies in the digital age. These services are in increasing demand among customers when it comes to addressing the challenges posed by digital transformation; the emergence of cloud systems and the ubiquity of access due to the upsurge of teleworking and robot-based automation have turned users and their identities into the new security perimeter, a situation that requires new measures and controls to mitigate the risk of cyberattacks such as impersonation and access to or theft of our most precious asset: information.

Net Studio has a team of more than 70 specialists and a customer base chiefly in the Industry, Finance and Energy sectors, which has allowed it to grow rapidly over recent years. Its advanced portfolio of solutions encompasses digital identity governance, identity management, access management, privileged account management and data governance.

Giacomo Parravicini, Net Studio’s managing director, stated that “the agreement we’ve reached will help us grow much faster commercially in terms of capabilities and as a company, enabling us to offer our customers a service that goes far beyond what any other supplier can provide”.

The operation enhances SIA’s capacity to extend its trusted identity and electronic signature services to customers in the Italian and European markets by means of extremely broad and robust portfolios in compliance with the European Union’s eIDAS Regulation, which simplifies and standardizes digital signatures and identities across Europe to drive the creation of a “single digital market”.

SIA, with more than 20 years’ experience and a dedicated team of more than 200 specialists in the identity management and electronic signature fields, manages more than two million identities corresponding to leading companies in all sectors and manages more than 400,000 signatures each day. In addition to the incorporation of the skills of Net Studio’s professionals, its enhanced leadership will enable the company to attract more talent to the organization and develop new opportunities for its professionals.

As for Net Studio, it now has the backing of SIA, a leading cybersecurity company with operations in Europe, Latin America and Asia, and it will now form part of Indra, one of the main global technology and consulting companies, for which cybersecurity is one of the key growth levers in its operations around the world. Indra also has a powerful presence in Italy through Minsait, a group company at the forefront of digital transformation and Information Technology.
