New Delhi. 10 November 2023. There was a proposal to shift Military Canteen from Amravati to Pulgaon due to manpower issues. Ex-servicemen have approached against the proposal of shifting this canteen at Amravati to Pulgaon as there is no other ex-servicemen canteen available at Amravati and it will put veterans and their dependents to great inconvenience.
Considering the problems which the ex-servicemen may face after shifting, the GOC, Uttar Maharashtra and Gujarat Sub Area has endorsed the proposal to retain the Canteen at Amravati, to ensure uninterrupted services to the ex-servicemen. Accordingly, necessary instruction has been passed by the Central Canteen authorities.
