54thCISF Day Parade-2023 Hyderabad,  12  March 2023. The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) celebrated its 54thRaising Day in a grand  and immaculate ceremonial function at CISF NISA, Hyderabad. On this occasion, Hon’ble Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah was the Chief Guest. The Hon’ble Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation took the salute and reviewed the parade. This is the first time in the history of CISF that Raising Day Parade has been organized at NISA, Hyderabad.

Hon’ble Governor of Telangana  Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, Shri G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister for Culture, Tourism and Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Dr K Laxman, Hon’ble MP (RS), Shri Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Hon’ble MP (LS), DGP, Telangana State Police,  Sr Officers of CAPF,  State Police and other dignitaries  were also present on the occasion.

On arrival at CISF NISA Hyderabad, the Hon’ble Union Home Minister went to the Brave Heart Memorial and paid tribute to the bravehearts and laid wreath at memorial.  At the venue of the parade, the Chief Guest was beckoned by  Shri Sheel Vardhan Singh, Director General, CISF. A Parade comprising of 411_ personnel honoured the Chief Guest with General Salute and the ceremonial parade was reviewed  by the Union Home Minister. The march past of the parade was  the mesmerizing event.

 54thCISF Day Parade-2023 On this occasion,  Shri Sheel Vardhan Singh expressed his gratitude  for the Chief Guest for gracing the ceremony and also welcomed all the dignitaries  present there to witness the parade. In his address to the parade, DG, CISF said that it has been a memorable journey for CISF as it has achieved great milestones while treading its path through the enormous challenges and adverse circumstances. Over a period of five decades CISF has carved out a niche for itself in the field of security and emerged as premier, multi-dimensional, professionally competent force. He also said that the Force is ready to shoulder any responsibility assigned by the Govt. He also expressed his happiness to announce that  on the occasion of CISF Raising Day Parade  3039 Head Constables are being promoted to the next rank of Asstt. Sub Inspector.

On this special occasion, an annual In-house publication “Sentinel-2023” and Coffee Table Book on Life Saving “Jeevan Raksha Parmo Dharma”  was released by the Hon’ble Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah. In his address, the Chief Guest congratulated the Parade Commander and all the personnel who took part in the parade for excellent performance. He generously praised the standard of the Parade and said that services rendered by CISF in the last 53 years have been commendable. He highlighted the critical role being played by CISF in the economic development of the country and at sensitive airports, Delhi Metro, Ports  and other vital industrial establishments and said that the dedication & commitment of the brave personnel of the CISF is  highly praiseworthy.

He said that this is the first time, CISF is  organizing its Raising Day out of Delhi NCR region in Hyderabad, which is a moment of gaiety for me. It is matter of pride that NISA Hyderabad has been awarded Home Minister’s Trophy for ‘Best Training Center’ for the year 2020-21 in the category of Officers training. A country can be developed, if its Airports, Sea Ports and other vital establishments are secure and safe and CISF is playing this role very effectively in safeguarding the airports, seaports and other vital installations of the country.

 54thCISF Day Parade-2023 He also said that role of CISF is going to be challenging in the coming years and he believes that CISF will, leave no stone unturned to realise the dream of India being  a 5 trillion Dollar economy  by 2024-25. He also said that CISF has adopted a hybrid model and this is going to enhance its role in the times to come. This model will also pave the way for private companies to use  the services of CISF in advisory and many other roles. He said that in the coming two decades, this force would also be able to protect private companies from security related threats likely to arise from modern technology and drones.

CISF has been constantly upgrading  itself by adopting sophisticated  equipments like Robotics and Artificial Intelligence for providing security to the Nation. Ministry of Home Affairs is committed to provide necessary support to CISF for making it capable to face futuristic challenges.

He lauded the role of CISF at airports specially during Coronavirus pandemic. He said that  CISF personnel on duty even laid down their lives due to Covid infection as front line warriors.  He also said that CISF will have to play important role in providing security consultancy services to the Private industrial undertaking and he is sure that the CISF will keep growing in strength and stature.

Investiture ceremony was also organized on this occasion, wherein,  Hon’ble Chief Guest decorated 23 CISF officers and personnel with Police Medal for Gallantry, President Police Medal for distinguished service, President Police Medal for Meritorious Service and Jeevan Raksha Padak.

Following spectacular demonstrations were presented by the CISF Personnel on the occasion:-

  • Breathtaking Kalaripayattu Demo by Women personnel: “The mother of all martial arts”, the indigenous martial art of India originated in Kerala which has been preserved for many centuries following the tradition of “Guru- Shishya parampara”. It is the oldest surviving martial art in India with a history spanning over 3000 years. It was showcased by 172 Women CISF personnel, representing a bare hand physical exercise with offensive defensive moves and 05 types of fights with different weapons used in Kalaripayattu.
  • Mesmerising demo by Special Tactics and Training Wing (STTW) of CISF: CISF operates in varied theatres throughout the country. From securing urban installations like airports and Delhi Metro Rail, protecting VIPs to guarding vast swathes of land in Left Wing Extremist affected areas. The demo presented by STTW Wing of the Force showcased various tactics used by the Left Wing Extremists and the expertise of CISF in countering them. During the demo the K-9 (Dog Squad) warriors of CISF also showcased their abilities in responding to attack and hostage situation by LWEs in the deployment area of CISF in  plant/mine.
  • Dazzling Fire Demo: CISF is unique as it is the only CAPF with a specialized Fire Wing comprising professionally trained and technically qualified personnel. The CISF Fire Wing demo depicts multiple fire incidents occurring in a Hydrocarbon installation due to leakage and accumulation of flammable gas leading to explosion and Fire. During the demo the CISF fire wing personnel showcased the use of Drone and Remotely Operated Vehicle in extinguishing the hazardous fire. The demonstration ended with tricolor formation using water jet spray by the CISF Fire Service personnel.

All the dignitaries and audience applauded the spectacular demonstrations. After the programme, the Chief Guest inaugurated Baffle Range “Arjuna” constructed at the campus of NISA Hyderabad.

Later, the Chief Guest interacted with the officers & men and medal recipients and took a round of the campus and saw the training infrastructure at NISA Hyderabad.

Upholding its motto “Protection and Security” the CISF will continue to strive and maintain the highest standards of professional excellence. /x
