12.06.26- The defence-tech startup is accelerating investments in autonomous strike platforms, AI-enabled warfare systems, counter-UAS technologies, indigenous propulsion systems, and next-generation battlefield solutions to support India’s rise as a global defence manufacturing powerhouse.
Founded by Bodhisattwa Sanghapriya, IG Defence is building an indigenous ecosystem of advanced defence technologies designed to meet the evolving requirements of modern warfare. The company is focused on developing autonomous drones, deep-strike systems, counter-drone solutions, defence simulators, AI-powered battlefield technologies, indigenous propulsion systems, and next-generation military platforms.
With an ambitious vision for growth, IG Defence aims to build a ₹10,000 crore defence pipeline by FY30, driven by increasing opportunities across the Indian Armed Forces, homeland security agencies, strategic government programmes, and international defence markets.
A key pillar of the company’s roadmap is the development of KAL, a 1000+ km long-range deep-strike autonomous platform designed to provide extended-range precision engagement capabilities. The programme reflects IG Defence’s vision of creating indigenous systems capable of addressing the emerging demands of modern and asymmetric warfare.
The company is also advancing JWALA, an indigenously and privately developed missile programme aimed at strengthening India’s sovereign defence technology capabilities. Conceived and engineered in India, the programme represents IG Defence’s commitment to developing strategic technologies through indigenous research, innovation, and manufacturing.
Further strengthening its technology stack, IG Defence has initiated work on an indigenous micro jet engine programme, focused on building critical propulsion technologies within the country. The initiative seeks to reduce dependence on foreign suppliers while enabling the next generation of high-performance unmanned systems, loitering munitions, cruise systems, and autonomous aerial platforms.
“The future of warfare will be defined by autonomy, artificial intelligence, precision strike capabilities, advanced propulsion, and indigenous innovation. Our mission is to ensure that India leads this transformation rather than follows it,” said Bodhisattwa Sanghapriya, Founder & CEO, IG Defence.
The company is investing aggressively in technologies that will shape the battlefield of the future, including long-range strike drones, autonomous swarm systems, counter-UAS platforms, AI-enabled mission planning, indigenous propulsion technologies, electronic warfare solutions, and advanced defence training systems.
As India continues its push towards Aatmanirbhar Bharat and defence self-reliance, IG Defence aims to emerge as a leading defence technology company from India, delivering world-class solutions for national security and global markets.
From Deep-Strike Systems and Autonomous Warfare Platforms to Indigenous Missile Technologies and Jet Engines, IG Defence is building the next generation of strategic defence capabilities — Designed in India, Developed in India, and Built for the World.
