Bangalore. 21 March, 2016. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) got a gift of  a postage stamp on its 75th birthday. The India Post released a customized commemorative stamp on  in recognition of the company’s 75 years services to the nation. The stamp was released at a program by Usha Chandrashekhar, chief postmaster general, Karnataka Circle, and V.M. Chamola, director (HR), HAL, in the presence of senior officials from both the organizations.
“It is the first time India Post is coming out with customized ‘My Stamp,’ and HAL is [the] first organization to have it,” said Chandrashekhar. The tagline: HAL: the force behind the forces, for its platinum jubilee logo aptly represents HAL’s contribution to the nation’s defense forces.”
“HAL had organized several events in the past few months as part of platinum jubilee celebrations,” said Chamola. “The stamp depicts HAL’s special 75-year logo that signifies HAL’s journey in the past 75 years. The special logo depicts HAL’s first indigenous aircraft program from HT-2 to light combat aircraft – Tejas.
“The logo also reflects HAL’s rotary-wing capabilities by displaying a watermark of HAL’s star performer advanced light helicopter – Dhruv. The rays emanating from the center signify the progress and the growth of the company throughout its long history. The tri-color salutes HAL’s spirit and association of service to the nation.”
