Exercise Harimau Shakti 2024 , joint military exercise between the Indian Army and the Malaysian Army commenced on 02 Dec 24.It compromises of two phases i.e CTX and FTX. After the successful completion of CTX phase comprising of theory lectures and demonstration, FTX phase of the Joint Exercise Harimau Shakti- 2024 began on 08 Dec 2024 with induction of both contingents in the Exercise area. On second day of FTX phase, a Fighting patrol and Recce patrols were sent out from their respective Harbour/ Operating Bases to gather Intelligence about the enemy and also routine in Harbour to include prep of fire trenches, booby traps, placing of claymores & panjis was observed. The fighting patrol was able to neutralise nine militants/ enemy, however suffered own Casualties too, thus CAS Evacuation drill was also carried out. Three joint Ambush parties(Platoon Strength) comprising of both Indian Army and Malaysian Army will lay ambush to neutralise the enemy, for this PL and Sec level orders were carried out on map enlargement and Sand models jointly prepared by both the Indian Army and the Malaysian Army soldiers.
