Moscow. 19 August 2022. Today is the 4th day of the ARMY 2022 International Military and Technical Forum, focusing on the work of domestic and foreign specialists and experts. Major General Alexander Osadchuk, Head of the Main Directorate for Innovative Development, Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation briefly summarised the results of the 3rd day of the Forum, which was marked by events of historic significance for a number of companies in the national defence and industrial complex and the Russian Armed Forces.
A total of 137 events have been held since the start of the Forum, attended by some 9,000 people.
Delegations from defence agencies of 85 foreign countries attended the Forum on August 17, including:
at the level of defence ministers – 18 states;
at the level of chiefs of staff – 11 states;
at the expert level – 14 states;
at the level of representatives of foreign embassies in the Russian Federation – 42 states.
5 bilateral meetings were held between the Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, Colonel General Alexander Fomin, and the heads of the military departments of Sudan and Iraq, the First Deputy Minister of Defence of Pakistan and the Deputy Minister of Defence of Egypt.
Foreign delegations from Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Oman and Uganda are invited to visit Alabino training ground for dynamic demonstration of military equipment.
In terms of attendance, he said that according to the forum’s registration service, almost 90,000 people visited our venues on August 17, an increase of 10,500 compared to last year.
The final attendance over the three days of the Forum was almost 230,000 people.
On August 18, 69 events are scheduled (32 round tables, 23 briefings, 13 conferences, 1 meeting). The main ones are planned for the Russian Defence Ministry’s senior staff.
We expect a high level of interest from experts in the work: round table “Military Conflicts of the Future” organised by the Centre for Military Strategic Studies of the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces;round table “The results of intellectual activity of the Russian military-industrial complex under the new legal structure: reset or freeze”;conferences “Creating a new model of interaction with higher education bodies – a strategic direction for innovative development in defence”, organised by the Main Directorate for Innovative Development of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation with the participation of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
Industry experts will gather today at the AI section of the congress to discuss the safe development and application of artificial intelligence technologies.
All venues of the forum, including those that have already become popular points of attraction for specialists and experts, will continue their work today.
The exhibition of ERA Military Innovative Technopolis and the discussion club on the site traditionally belong to these. Today, round-table discussions will take place: “Innovative developments to ensure the effective operation of military equipment”; “Support system for the implementation of innovative military and dual-use projects”; “Digital testing in the implementation of innovative projects”. The use of digital doubles”.
A vibrant and dynamic event, and undoubtedly the jewel of the Forum, will be Dronbiathlon 2022.
The military-patriotic activities will take place in Yunarmiya sectors and in the military-historical complex Partisan Village, a centre for military tactical games.
