Bengaluru. 10 August 2018.  It’s carnival time at the Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru! In an attempt to evoke patriotism and pride among travelers, Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) – operators of the BLR Airport – on Friday launched Celebrate India Campaign, a ten-day carnival to commemorate India’s 72nd Independence Day.

Over the next ten days, BLR Airport– the country’s third largest airport– will showcase the best of India’s rich culture, heritage, art, literature and food before the curtains come down on August 19.

This will be an opportunity for the travelers, transiting through the BLR Airport, to make the most of the campaign by indulging in various fun-filled activities. Some of the activities include patriotic selfie opportunities with the Tricolour and India map as the background, distribution of Tricolour wrist bands and flag pins. The culture and heritage of the Country will be displayed through a Celebrate India Museum highlighting the art and heritage in an artistic format.

Giving a distinct look to the Airport, the Airport Authority of India’s Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower will be lit up in Tricolours while select outlets in the Terminal have been decorated with colourful props. That apart, BIAL has also activated an Omni-Channel Campaign for passengers to win some exciting gifts and vouchers.
