Pocasset, Massachusetts. 11 August 2019.The US Navy has signed a $15.8 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with Kongsberg Hydroid for the MK 18 family of systems, which includes Unmanned Underwater Vehicle systems. The contract also contains alternatives which, if took place, would lead the collective value of this contract to $84 million.

Hydroid Inc., Pocasset, Massachusetts, is awarded a $15,826,493 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for engineering support and training services for the MK 18 Family of Systems– Unmanned Underwater Vehicle systems. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $84,024,996.  Work will be performed in Pocasset, Massachusetts, and is expected to be complete by August 2020. 

If options are exercised, work will continue through August 2024. No funds are being obligated at this time. This contract is awarded on a sole-source basis in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1(a)(2) – only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division, Indian Head, Maryland, is the contracting activity (N00174-19-D-0010).
