- With TopStar Smart Receiver, Thales concentrates in a single piece of equipment three essential functions for the smooth running of operations: positioning, navigation and time management, with unparalleled resistance to jamming capabilities.
- Thanks to its miniature format, this solution is the most compact and economical currently available for integration on board land vehicles, drones and munitions.
- Coming from a European and sovereign industrial sector, this new generation receiver benefits from the proven expertise of Thales, world leader in Position, Navigation, Time (PNT) functions for 30 years.
Thales launches TopStar Smart Receiver, an ultra-compact “three-in-one” solution, enabling land forces to have a resilient solution for orienting themselves in space and time, while maintaining their radio communications in a context of increased electronic warfare.
TopStar Smart Receiver integrates equally well on land vehicles, drones, and munitions.
This solution features:
- A dual-constellation GNSS receiver , combining reception of military constellations, Galileo PRS, and civilian constellations, GPS, resistant to spoofing attempts, while offering increased performance in accuracy and availability.
- With an anti-jamming function : its adaptive antenna, called CRPA (Controlled Radiation Pattern Antenna), reduces interference from jammers and allows you to get up to thirty times closer to a jammer than with a conventional GPS receiver.
- With a very high-performance clock , ensuring the synchronization of tactical radios for up to 48 hours after the loss of the GNSS signal, instead of 30 minutes with conventional equipment.
Produced entirely in Europe and with sovereign control over its manufacturing process, TopStar Smart Receiver is assembled at the Thales site in Valence, France. This solution is now available for real-world testing.
