Greenwich, London.12 September 2017. Senop, a part of Patria Group, is showcasing its latest innovations for increased mobility, performance and situational awareness at the DSEI 2017 exhibition in London on September 12-15.

Senop’s lightweight hand-held multipurpose observation and surveillance system Senop LILLY, an intelligent HUSKY Fire Control Thermal Sight, as well as an agile shelter system ARCTIC FOX, will be presented at Senop stand, Finnish pavilion (N3-454).

Mika Räty, CEO of Senop, says: “We are bringing several new product innovations to the market this year, and three of these will be launched at DSEI. The new innovations provide the additional advantage of increased situational awareness, control and mobility.”

Lightweight multipurpose observation and surveillance

Senop LILLY is an extremely lightweight multifunctional thermal imager with exceptional situational awareness and target acquisition capabilities for day and night-time use.

Senop has developed the new handheld device LILLY based on user feedback of our renowned LISA target acquisition and observation system. Weighting less than 1.5 kg in working order, LILLY is designed for urban operations and special forces / reconnaissance units.

LILLY is small from the outside, but large on the inside. When it comes to performance, coupled with being lightweight, this device really sets the standard. It has e.g. an uncooled thermal imager combined with direct view optical channel with a high-resolution day camera. It can be connected to different command and control systems, as well as navigation. In addition to commercial and military battery and vehicle usage, LILLY´s external power source can be connected to several advanced power sources such as solar panels and fuel cells to meet 24/7 usability requirements.

Weapon sight for higher first hit probability

HUSKY Fire Control Thermal Sight is a smart and accurate weapon sight. A single push of a key is enough to rapidly calculate the aiming dot by using distance, ammunition’s ballistic tables, temperature and measured terrain angle.

HUSKY Fire Control Thermal Sight is ideal for a wide range of ammunition and weapon applications including heavy weapons like grenade machine guns, remote weapon stations and reconnaissance and observation systems. It includes an integrated uncooled thermal imager, eye-safe laser range finder, global positioning system, inertial measurement unit, digital magnetic compass and ballistic computer.

The sight can be easily customized in order to meet exact customer requirements and needs.

Agile shelter systems

ARCTIC FOX is a system platform for shelter-based command and control systems. Designed to provide adaptability to customer needs, the interior has ready interfaces for hardware, consoles, and workstations for client systems. It can for example house a fire control centre, a platform for electronic warfare systems, or various surveillance systems. It is also suitable for use as command post at the tactical level. The Arctic Fox shelter system is a fully functional standalone system ready for customer applications.

The aluminium shelter has been built for mobility in accordance with the ISO-668 standard. It is lightweight and has excellent payload capacity. ARCTIC FOX is CE approved, in addition to being verified as meeting MIL-STD-461 requirements. It can operate in disruptive environments due to its high levels of EMC and EMP protection. The operating temperature range is -40 °C to + 55 °C.
