Quepem, Goa. 30 March,2016.  Saab and Ashok Leyland have joined hands to manufacture Truck Simulators in India under the Make in India concept. The two companies signed a teaming agreement in the end of 2015. The simulator is based in original Ashok Leyland cabin with Saab simulation technology integrated.
The simulator is developed on the Ashok Leyland Stallion 4×4 vehicle, the most widely used in the armed forces and paramilitary forces. The simulator will bring in a drastic change in drivers‘ skills development. It enables the driver to drive and operate the Ashok Stallion vehicle in different terrains, different weather conditions and under all types of potential day to day challenges. The simulator combines the Ashok Stallion cabin realism with a powerful motion base, 4K computer graphic visualisation for total trainee immersion.
 
The instructor operating station enables the instructor to observe and interact with the trainee in real time, and allows him to take over controls in emergency situations and to give the trainee the after action feedback for fast learning progress.
