Villepinte, 12th June 2014 . Nexter is present for this 2016 edition of the International Defense and Security Show, Eurosatory, which will be held from 13th to 17th June. Under the banner of the new KNDS (KMW + Nexter Defense Systems) Group, Nexter is confirming its status as France’s main OEM/integrator and, alongside its ally KMW, as a leading European landbased defense company. This international gathering is a very important moment for the company and will once again enable it to exhibit all of its know-hows and its ability always to meet Forces’ needs.
As a major supplier to the French Army, Nexter is this year devoting considerable space on its stand to its involvement in the SCORPION programme. The GRIFFON vehicle will thus be exhibited for the first time life size. The other vehicles, JAGUAR and upgraded Leclerc, will also be the subject of special presentations. The simulation solution with SEMBA will for its part be exhibited in the show’s simulation village.
Always placed on the front line of the stand, the Group’s systems and products will be presented to the visitors and numerous official delegations: LECLERC, VBCI in T40 for the export markets and APC (Armoured Personal Carrier) configuration, the CAESAR® family with the 6×6 and 8×8, ARAVIS® in United Nations and Fire Support configuration, as well as TITUS®. The Homeland Security TITUS® will be exhibited on the Ministère de l’Intérieur (Ministry of the Interior) stand.
A fundamental pillar of the Group, European number three in its area, the Ammunition Business Group consisting of the Mecar, Simmel Difesa and Nexter Munitions companies will exhibit its complete range of ammunition, from 20 mm to 155 mm, meeting the needs of the following three Forces: Navy, Army and Air Force. As far as weapons and turrets are concerned, several new products will be unveiled, e.g. the remotely operated 40mm turret equipped with the 40 CTA cannon from CTA International (a Joint Venture between Nexter and BAE) or the ARX®25. All the other entities in the Nexter Group, support service, equipment, robotics or digital systems, will be present for this gathering so as to promote their know-hows and solutions.
