26th All India Police Lawn Tennis Championship 2025–26New Delhi, March 28, 2026: The 26th All India Police Lawn Tennis Championship 2025–26, organized by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) from March 24 to March 28, 2026, concluded today with a grand closing ceremony at the R.K. Khanna Stadium, New Delhi.

Tapan Kumar Deka, Director, Intelligence Bureau, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, Tapan Kumar Deka congratulated ITBP, the All India Police Sports Control Board, all participating teams, and the jury from various State Police Forces and Central Armed Police Forces for the successful conduct of the championship. He expressed confidence that such events help identify and nurture emerging talent, which will bring laurels to the nation at both national and international levels. The Chief Guest appreciated the rich legacy of police forces in lawn tennis and noted that the championship provided an excellent platform for players to showcase their skills.

Shatrujeet Kapur, Director General, ITBP, welcomed the Chief Guest and presented an overview of the championship. He reaffirmed ITBP’s commitment to promoting sports and assured that the Force would continue to organize such prestigious events whenever entrusted with the responsibility.

26th All India Police Lawn Tennis Championship 2025–26The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation from 135 players representing 23 teams from Central Armed Police Forces and State Police Forces. A total of 24 medals (12 gold and 12 silver) were contested during the event.

In the team events, ITBP emerged as the overall champion, while BSF secured the second position.

The closing ceremony was attended by Tapan Kumar Deka, Director, Intelligence Bureau; Shatrujeet Kapur, DG, ITBP; Sanjay Gunjyal, ADG (HQ), ITBP; and senior officers from CAPFs and State Police Forces.
