Hanoi, Vietnam. 15 August 2022. The 2022 International Army Games will run until August 27. During the games, it is planned to hold 34 international competitions on the territory of 12 states. On the basis of the Patriot Convention and Exhibition Center, there is a fan club with thematic venues for all the competitions “ARMI-2022 ”
At the solemn event, creative teams performed in front of the teams, who performed both traditional and modern songs and dances. In the suburbs of Hanoi, at the training ground of the National Military Training Center No. 4 “Mieu Mon”, the opening ceremony of the “Emergency Area” competition of the International Army Games 2022 (ArMI-2022) was held. The Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam is the second time running as a co-organizer of the Army Games.
As the head of the organizing committee of the Vietnamese part of Army Games-2022, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, Lieutenant-General Nguyen Van Ngia noted in his welcoming speech, along with a strong trend towards international integration, military and defense cooperation is actively developing, which has rich and diverse forms in many areas. The stages of Army Games-2022 are very interesting for the participation of the armed forces of various countries of the world. They embody the beauty of military culture and the conditions for a friendly exchange of experience, strengthening mutual understanding, trust and cooperation.
“Vietnam and Russia are traditionally bound by friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership, and the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam always supports multilateral events organized by the Russian Ministry of Defense in the name of peace, solidarity, friendship and trust,” said the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army.
The head of the Russian delegation of Army Games 2022 in Vietnam, Rear Admiral Andrei Subbotin, in his speech drew attention to the high level of preparation of the Vietnamese side for the games. “The organizers have prepared well, having done a great job of modernizing the training facilities for the competition. For the second year in a row, the Emergency District competition has been held on Vietnamese soil, which confirms the high level of trust in you,” said Rear Admiral. Such competitions, he said, contribute to the development of international cooperation, to the strengthening of trust and friendship between the military departments of different countries.

Teams from the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Republic of Mali, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Republic of the Congo will take part in the competition “Emergency Area”. The competition will end on August 19th.
