Nagpur. 27 January 2024. Headquarters Uttar Maharashtra and Gujarat Sub Area Nagpur imbued in the spirit of taking care of Veterans and dependents, organised a function at Nine locations to include Bhusawal, Nagpur, Pulgaon, Devlali, Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Dharangdhara, Vadodara and Jamnagar in Maharashtra and Gujarat respectively to felicitate widows and divyangjan Ex-Servicemen on the eve of 75 th Republic Day.
On behalf of Major General SK Vidyarthi, General Officer Commanding, the Station Commanders of all Nine stations highlighted the importance of looking after the welfare of divyangjan Ex-Servicemen to include widows who are in financial distress and find it difficult to sustain their living with the limited pensionary benefits.
48 Widows and Two divyangjan Ex-Servicemen were felicitated and given financial assistance in past two years. Carrying the tradition forward, on 25 & 26 Jan 2024 a total of 26 widows and 09 divyangjan Ex-Servicemen were felicitated and given a financial assistance of Rs 17,50,000/- @ Rs 50,000/-.
