Mumbai, October 26, 2015: Air China, China’s National Air Carrier launched its direct International flight from Mumbai, India to Beijing, China. The new flight is the first and only airline to fly non-stop between Mumbai & Beijing. The strategic move of Air China is a step to strengthen its existing route network in India through its offering of a specifically tailored product for passengers and coming up with an alternative for medium-long haul travel with extra comfort.
Air China introduced Airbus A330-300 to its service to Mumbai. With a total capacity of 305 seats, the flight has 30-Businiess Class Fully Flat Beds, 16-Premium Economy & 259-Economy seats. Commenting on the occasion, Xia, GM, Air China, Mumbai said “Initiative proposed by the Chinese government, has started and will start more routes serving the countries along the – One Belt, One Road”.
The non-stop flight secures increased connectivity and reduced transit time for our customers. The new flight Mumbai, India to Beijing, P.R.China will operate four times in a week i.e., Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Sunday. Passengers will also have return flight service from Beijing, P.R.China to Mumbai, India four times a week i.e., Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday. Airbus A330-300 has seating capacity of 305 passengers which offers 30 seats in Business class, 16 seats in Premium Economy and 259 seats in Economy Class. The outbound flight will departs from Mumbai at 02:30 IST, arrives in Beijing at 10:45 CST. The return flight will departs from Beijing at 19:40 CST and will arrives next day in Mumbai at 01:00 IST. After the launch of this route, Air China will discontinue with it existing route PVG (Shanghai) – CTU (Chengdu) – BOM (Mumbai) – CTU (Chengdu) – PVG (Shanghai) effective winter schedule 2015.

The offer rolled to travel agent is INR 15,000 including all taxes to Mumbai – Beijing – Mumbai, with this offer we have approximate 200 travel agents travelling to China. Agents will not only see thenew product but they will also see China for tourism, corporate, mice, etc. Air China is also offering these agents with an opportunity to upgrade to business class with a nominal charge. Moreover, the flight launch will enable the strengthening of investment, trade, tourism and people-to-people ties between Mumbai and Beijing.
