Paris. 17 June 2023. The aerospace system from Piemonte, North-Western Italian region, consolidates its presence at the Paris Air Show to reaffirm its leading role in this fervent phase of the sector and in the development of new projects. From 19th to 25th June at Le Bourget 17 top Piemonte SMEs exhibit the regional aerospace excellence in the large 200 sqm booth (Hall1/F229) organised by Piemonte Agency within the frame of the Integrated Supply Chain Project “Aerospace” supported by Regione Piemonte (Regional Government) and co-financed by the 2000-2020 Development and Cohesion Plan – and of the “Industrial Goods” Project financed by the Regione Piemonte and the Torino Chamber of Commerce.

Piemonte is home to some major key players in the aerospace industry – Leonardo, GE Avio Aero, Thales Alenia Space, ALTEC, Collins Aerospace – and to a core of over 350 SMEs (source: Piedmont Aerospace District): altogether they provide to main international players a complete supply chain characterized by know-how, technical skills and high-level manufacturing. Aerospace in Piemonte, in fact, records a total turnover of € 7 billion and employs over 22,000 people, holding 20% of Italian exports in the sector.

At the Paris-Le Bourget Air Show, Piemonte delegation presents a complete supply chain that responds to any needs of the Aeronautics, Space and Defense industries. In an exhibition path set up inside the booth the 17 SMEs offer their latest generation products and technologies to international clients, in particular: mechanical components, solutions for the transport of fluids, scientific instruments, solutions for optimizing the supply chain, assembly lines of integrated structures, engineering services, surface treatments, thermal insulation, wiring, design, engineering and simulation, ICT solutions, electrical and electronic systems, aircraft assembly and maintenance systems.

On June 20th, Piemonte’s stand is hosting the workshop “Unleashing the Sky’s Potential: Aerospace Excellence, Innovative Trends, and Investment Opportunities in Piemonte”. Main speakers: The Regional Minister for Internationalization Fabrizio Ricca, the Regional Minister for Productive Activities Andrea Tronzano, the Secretary General of the Torino Chamber of Commerce Guido Bolatto, the Chairman of Piemonte Agency Dario Peirone, the President of the Piedmont Aerospace Cluster Fulvia Quagliotti and the representatives of the international key players located in Piemonte: Leonardo, GE Avio Aero, Thales Alenia Space, Collins Aerospace. They will be animating a round table combining the presentation of local skills with the business and investment opportunities. High-level manufacturing, engineering, prototyping, propulsion, robotics and automation, latest generation unmanned systems, up to additive manufacturing and to the new frontiers of the lunar economy: Piemonte offers industrial excellence in the aerospace sector and a complete ecosystem made up of a consolidated network of SMEs, important large companies, a growing flow of technological startups with public and private research centres, Innovation Clusters and a strong academic presence that is highly attractive for both buyers and foreign investors.
