Sri Lankan Navy chief calls on Coast Guard DG

New Delhi. 30 January 2016. A Srilankan delegation led by Vice Admiral RC Wijegunarathne, WV, RWP & Bar, USP,NDC,PSC, Commander of the Srilankan Navy paid a courtesy call on Director General Rajendra Singh PTM, TM.

During the discussions, Commander of the Srilankan Navy appreciated the efforts of the Indian Coast Guard in extending support for to Srilanka security agencies in addressing various bilateral issues. During the meeting, it was also decided that ICG would extend all Pollution response assistance to Srilanka as and when requested. He also visited the Control centre of the Coastal surveillance network and was briefed about the capabilities of the network
During the visit of the Commander of the Srilankan Navy, a Guard of Honour was also paraded at Coast Guard Heaquarters.
