Milipol India’s Growing Footprint, Back to Where It Began

Milipol India made its debut in October 2023 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, marking the first edition of the Milipol International Network in the Indo-Pacific region. The inaugural edition witnessed strong participation across the small arms segment, including representation from joint ventures between Indian and international manufacturers. The second edition, held in April 2025 at the newly developed Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, reflected the exhibition’s growing scale and the increasing importance of internal security and homeland security procurement in India.

The third edition, scheduled for March 2027, marks a significant return to the exhibition complex where Milipol India first began, now redeveloped as Bharat Mandapam. With continued growth in exhibitor participation, professional visitor numbers and international representation across successive editions, Milipol India is establishing itself as an important platform within the Indo-Pacific security ecosystem. The event further strengthens the global Milipol International Network, alongside its established editions in Paris, Qatar, Singapore and, more recently, Brazil.

Who Should Walk the Show Floor, Milipol India 2027’s Visitor Profile

Milipol India is built around a specific audience, the people who decide, procure and deploy internal security solutions. The 2027 edition is expected to draw senior police officers, special forces personnel and government safety and security professionals, alongside border control, immigration and customs officials responsible for frontline security operations.

The exhibition will attract senior decision-makers from across the corporate and institutional security ecosystem, including CEOs, directors, security heads, cybersecurity authorities, risk management professionals, national security agencies, CIOs, civil defence officials, loss prevention specialists and police academies.

This diverse and highly relevant audience represents the complete internal security value chain, from policy and procurement to implementation. For exhibitors, Milipol India provides direct access to key decision-makers and stakeholders whose roles are closely aligned with internal and homeland security requirements.

Inside the Exhibition, Focus Areas at Milipol India 2027

Milipol India’s exhibition floor is organised around the full spectrum of internal security requirements. Past editions have seen strong participation in the small arms segment, including prominent joint ventures, alongside tactical and personal protective equipment. The show has consistently featured surveillance and monitoring systems, cyber security solutions, border management and immigration technology, and command, control and communication systems built for police and paramilitary forces.

The 2027 edition is expected to widen this further, with growing exhibitor interest in AI driven security analytics, forensic and investigative technology, correctional and prison management systems, and disaster response and civil defence equipment. Given India’s scale and the range of internal security challenges it manages, from urban policing to border security, the exhibition consistently draws providers offering rugged, field tested solutions built for high volume, high stakes environments, rather than concept technology alone.

Milipol, A Global Network, an Indian Platform

Milipol traces its roots to 1984, when the first international trade show dedicated to homeland security was organised in Paris, later becoming an official event under the French Ministry of the Interior in 1995. Over four decades, the Milipol brand has grown into the world’s leading network of events dedicated to safety and homeland security, spanning Milipol Paris, Milipol Qatar, Milipol TechX in Singapore, Milipol India and, most recently, Milipol Brazil.

Milipol India’s place within this network gives it credibility a standalone show cannot easily replicate, access to the technology, standards and global exhibitor base that Milipol Paris, the world’s largest specialist homeland security exhibition, has built over four decades. For India’s growing internal security and defence market, Milipol India functions as the regional gateway into this network, bringing global players to an Indian audience while giving Indian manufacturers a platform recognised well beyond the country’s borders.
