New Delhi, 15 Feb 2018. As part of ongoing Healthy Mizoram Campaign 46 Assam Rifles under aegis of HQ 23 Sect AR/ IGAR (East) brought together doctors and med experts from Assam Rifles, Army, Health Department, Mizoram and NGOs on common platform to conduct Medical Camp in remote Border Vill of Ngopa in Champhai District, Mizoram. 757 villagers were attended to and were provided free medical checkup, consultancy & medicines as part of the camp.

The camp also included officials from State Bank of India who assisted people in opening new bank accounts and linking of Aadhar Card to existing accounts.

Assam Rifles has been committed to providing basic healthcare to citizens residing in remote and border villages along Indo-Myanmar Border.
