“Over the next year, our focus would be to achieve 2 million dollars in exports from India through the EDGE brand. We hope to achieve this through our collaboration with GSL and the fact that we are in the process of setting up a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility near Chennai. We take immense pride in our ability to seamlessly integrate almost all marine navigation analogue radar scanners. We have also been granted type approval for our Fibre optic gyro and ECDIS, by Indian Register of Shipping (IRClass), which emphasises our commitment to excellence in the maritime navigation industry.” said Sri Venkatesan N, Director, Maritronics India Pvt. Ltd.

“Moving ahead with the Vision of ‘Make In India’ and developing state of the art technologies, GSL has partnered with M/s Maritronics to provide indigenous solutions in the field of Navigation and Communication Equipment. This synergy between public and private sectors, is envisaged to provide a major boost to the countries ability to enter into this niche segment which till date has been dependent on foreign players. This collaborative effort would also provide a much-needed impetus to our export capabilities in this segment of products and could fulfil the government’s “Make in India and Make for the World” objective too”, said Shri Brajesh Kumar Upadhyay, CMD GSL.
