Mumbai . 05 February 2022. Vice Admiral Ajendra Bahadur Singh, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Naval Command visited the Information Management and Analysis Centre (IMAC) and Information Fusion Centre Indian Ocean Region (IFC-IOR) at Gurugram on 04 February 22. During his visit to IMAC, the C-in-C was briefed on the Centre’s role in supporting maritime and coastal security using data fusion and advanced analytics.

IMAC administers the National Command Control Communication and Intelligence (NC3I) network linking 51 Operational Nodes of Indian Navy and Coast Guard, located along the coast and on island territories. Data from various sensors and databases is aggregated, correlated and then disseminated by IMAC to various stations for enhanced awareness.

The C-in-C also visited IFC-IOR where he was briefed on the various collaborative efforts at developing shared maritime domain awareness. He interacted with the International Liaison Officers posted at the Centre and appreciated their collective efforts at ensuring maritime security and safety in the region.
