Farnborough. 26 February 2020. Domo Tactical Communications (DTC), leader in IP Mesh Networks and Video technology, marches ahead with the latest MeshUltra Wireless Tactical IP Mesh Waveform.
Designed for the most hostile real-world environments in Law Enforcement, Military and Autonomous Systems applications, the MeshUltra waveform delivers increased range, greater reliability and higher throughput. And combined with DTC’s “Interference Avoidance System” (IAS) Cognitive Radio capability, MeshUltra continues to operate in the presence of interference which would bring down other wireless networks – providing protection against jamming and helping to answer the challenge of battlefield frequency coordination.
DTC’s MeshUltra Tactical IP Mesh waveform facilitates the exchange of video, audio and data between wireless Nodes in point-to-point or, more commonly, point-to-multipoint and multipoint-to-multipoint configurations. A truly mobile system – one which will deliver in environments too tough for other radio solutions to cope with. Unlike traditional wireless options, the DTC Mesh is self-forming/self-healing and seamlessly reconfigures as nodes move, working out which are in range and finding the best route to send data between them.
When one node can no longer operate, the rest of the nodes continue to communicate with each other – there is no Network “Master” and no single point of failure. And DTC’s proven auto-adaptive modulation means that a stable link will be maintained even at the extremes of range.
Video Product Director, Rob Garth said, “We are very excited to introduce MeshUltra to our customers. The market demands cutting-edge technology and we are continuing to listen and deliver on our promises.”
“The benefits of MeshUltra are already being realised by customers in the field. With the advantage of increased bandwidth options (1.25-20MHz) and the capability for at least 64 nodes, plus an industry-leading selection of form factors, power levels and frequency bands, DTC can offer solutions for an ever-increasing range of customer requirements.”
