New Delhi,15 Feb 2018. 46 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 23 Sector Assam Rifles/ IGAR (East), as part of Civic Action Programme presented 04 Personal Computers to Ratu Mimbung English School (Private), Champhai District of Mizoram on 13 February 2018 for promoting computer literacy.
The initiative has been undertaken keeping in mind the need of information technology in the current education system and its benefits for the students. Assam Rifles has been committed to work for the developments of Mizo society as part of Student Outreach Programme and living upto Assam Rifles motto of ‘Friends of the Hill People’.
A large number of school children, members of Village council, members of various NGOs and local populace from Mimbung attended the presentation ceremony and appreciated the contribution of Assam Rifles towards bright future of their children.
