PIR PANJAL BRIGADE CONSTRUCTS A STEEL FOOT BRIDGE AT VILLAGE NAMBLANew Delhi. 29 November 2017. Nambla village is a remote village in Uri Tehsil located close to the LC. Many seasonal nalas flow in the vicinity of the village restricting smooth passage of the local populace. The Khunjuri Nala has been one of the sore issue adversely affecting daily commute of more than five thousand people during the monsoons.

The project of Construction of Steel Foot Bridge at Nambla Village over Khunjuri Nala under Border Area Development Programme (BADP) was undertaken by the local army unit located at Rustam. Under constant supervision, the construction was completed in a record time of three months thereby fulfilling the long standing demand of the locals. The foot over bridge was inaugurated by *Mr Habibulla Mir*, a specially abled person in the presence of *Commander, Pir Panjal Brigade*. The bridge has facilitated the commute of villagers along the Khunjuri Nala especially around *400 students to Nambla High School* and to the *local graveyard* thereby alleviating their hardship. The project will not only assist the villagers but has enhanced the image of the Army gaining considerable goodwill amongst the people in the border areas.
