• Curtiss-Wright’s Neuhausen am Rheinfall, Switzerland Facility Achieves EN9100 Aerospace Supplier Certification

Ashburn, Va. 02 December 2020. Curtiss-Wright’s Defense Solutions division announced that its facility located in Neuhausen am Rheinfall, Switzerland has been certified to EN9100:2018, a worldwide accepted and standardized quality management system (QMS) for aviation, space and defense industries (equivalent to AS9100 D and JISQ 9100:2016). The facility’s successful upgrade to EN9100 certification, from its previous ISO9001:2015 accreditation, provides Curtiss-Wright customers with confidence in the Company’s processes and procedures and the quality of the products that it designs and manufactures.

In addition, this accomplishment ensures that customers of Curtiss-Wright have the ability to rapidly adapt to emerging industry changes. The Neuhausen am Rheinfall facility is the headquarters of Curtiss-Wright’s Drive Technology business (Antriebstechnik GmbH), a global leader in developing and manufacturing electromechanical drive systems for the industrial and defense industries for over 70 years.

With its new EN9100 certification, Curtiss-Wright is better positioned to provide motion control products to the aerospace market. While largely developed for the aviation, space, and defense industry, this certification is also applicable to other sectors.

“We are proud to announce that our Neuhausen am Rheinfall, Switzerland facility has been certified to the EN9100 aerospace supplier quality standard, the sixth Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions facility to do so,” said Lynn Bamford, President, Defense and Power segments. “This successful audit reflects our commitment to the timely delivery of quality products that meet the world’s highest quality standards and validates processes that reduce risk for our aerospace and defense customers.”
