Abu Dhabi. 24 February 2021. Aero Vodochody presents its new L-39NG aircraft at the IDEX trade fair in the United Arab Emirates, where it met potential customers and users of its L-39 aircraft.
IDEX (International Defence Exhibition and Conference) is one of the few opportunities in the first months of 2021 to meet with representatives of armies from around the world and with companies operating in the defence industry.
On the very first day, we met with a delegation of the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic led by the Minister of Defence Jaroslav Naď. “We have proposed to the Slovak Ministry the continuation of our strategic partnership in the field of military pilot training. The proposed cooperation includes a significant involvement of Slovak industry in the L-39NG project,” described Jakub Hoda, VP Sales of Aero Vodochody.
In addition to the Slovak delegation, Major General Staff Pilot Ibrahim Nasser Mohammed Al Alawi, Commander of the UAE Air Force and Air Defence visited the stand; we have also welcomed delegations from Turkey, Ukraine and other countries. Representatives of the Czech Ministry of Defence, led by Deputy Minister Tomáš Kopečný, accompanied the Czech companies, as well as the Czech Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Jiří Slavík and the military attaché Radek Krňávek.
Aero presented itself at the IDEX trade fair at the official Czech stand, which was supported by the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Industry and Trade as part of a project to support economic diplomacy
