Andhra Pradesh, 15 May 2026: Sagar Defence Engineering has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Andhra Pradesh official event held in the presence of Hon’ble Raksha Mantri of India, Rajnath Singh, and Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu.

The MoU pertains to the proposed allotment of approximately 400 acres of land in Andhra Pradesh for the establishment of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility dedicated to advanced defence systems manufacturing for strategic and national security. The proposed facility is expected to significantly strengthen indigenous defence production capabilities under the Government of India’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and further position Andhra Pradesh as a key hub for strategic defence manufacturing and innovation.

Representing Sagar Defence Engineering at the MoU signing ceremony is Capt. Nikunj Parashar, Founder & CMD, along with Mr Saurabh Patil, Head of Research & Development.

The development follows Sagar Defence Engineering’s recent receipt of an Industrial License for the manufacturing of explosives, marking a significant milestone in the company’s expansion into full-spectrum defence manufacturing. 

The proposed manufacturing facility is expected to create substantial employment opportunities, enhance regional industrial infrastructure, and contribute toward India’s long-term strategic self-reliance in critical defence manufacturing sectors.
