F-16 / C-130J

A centerpiece of the Lockheed Martin booth at DefExpo will be the F-16 Block 70 cockpit demonstrator, which makes its first visit to India. The most advanced F-16 available today, the F-16 Block 70 features a number of innovative technologies found on 5th generation fighters. It is the optimum solution for India’s fighter programme, with proven capabilities and performance and an industrial scale that sets the standard for Make in India, putting India at the helm of the world’s largest aerospace ecosystem.

Javelin

Our Javelin International Business Development manager, Haley Donoho, will be at the show to talk about the Javelin shoulder-fired anti-armor weapon system.

  • Lockheed Martin and the Javelin Joint Venture (Lockheed Martin and Raytheon) are in good standing with the Indian government, and are fully prepared to support, through the highly transparent U.S. Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program, any request for support, tech transfer and co-production of Javelin in line with the DTTI program previously offered.
  • The U.S. Government has indicated they are willing to work with the Government of India to expedite the delivery process to support India’s urgent ATGM requirements.
  • Javelin is the premier, combat-proven fire-and-forget anti-tank guided missile in the world.
  • Javelin will remain in the U.S. inventory until 2050, and is currently undergoing spiral upgrades to reduce weight and cost, as well as improve performance.
  • The Javelin system is very easy to operate… first-time gunners hit their targets more than 97% of the time. Training and qualification can be performed by simulation only, and does not require firing live rounds.

MH-60R

The MH-60R provides a vital capability for the Indian Navy in the Indo-Pacific region. The US Navy and its’ MH-60R international partners are committed to operating the MH-60R for the next 30 years.  An MH-60R acquisition allows the Indian Navy to benefit from an active production line getting them this capability quickly, and the ongoing support we are providing for over 300 MH-60Rs flown by the U.S. Navy, the Royal Australian Navy, Royal Danish Navy, and the Royal Saudi Naval Forces. MH-60R acquisition ensures partner Navies are part of the technology insertion roadmap, including obsolescence mitigation, ensuring the ROMEO stays relevant and ahead of the evolving threat environment. Christophe Nurit can provide you with the background and understanding of the MH-60R during Defexpo.
