In a LinkedIn post after the flight, Minister Naidu lauded HAL’s engineering excellence and emphasized the importance of self-reliance in aerospace manufacturing. “ The roar of the engines, the sheer force of acceleration, and the breathtaking view from the cockpit—it’s an experience that words can hardly capture! Being part of a sortie in the HJT-36 ‘Yashas’ was not just thrilling, it was deeply humbling. This aircraft, built by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, represents the brilliance of Indian engineering and our unwavering commitment to self-reliance,” he remarked.

According to an official statement, the minister flew in a Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. (HAL) trainer jet called “Yashas.” Had the amazing chance to conduct a sortie aboard the HJT-36 “Yashas,” a magnificent jet aircraft that HAL is proud to manufacture in India. India’s increasing strength in aerospace and defense industries is demonstrated by this domestic marvel, Naidu remarked.

The Minister’s flight in the HJT-36 at Aero India 2025 marked a significant milestone for India’s indigenous aviation sector. It reinforced the government’s commitment to self-reliance, technological advancement, and modern pilot training solutions.
