For its 2026 edition – the largest in its history, with over 2,300 exhibitors from 66 countries and 42 national pavilions – the exhibition is breaking new technological ground, with, at the heart of this initiative, Eurosatory LAB as one of its key features. This space, dedicated to start-ups and technology companies, has emerged as one of the most eagerly anticipated attractions at the exhibition.

Eurosatory LAB serves a dual purpose: as a technology showcase for the armed forces and institutional decision-makers, and as a platform that brings together start-ups, leading industry players, investors and operational users. It thus serves as a catalyst, enabling start-ups to compare their solutions with the needs expressed directly on the ground.

With the return of high-intensity conflicts and unprecedented technological progress, the defence sector is experiencing profound structural change. Alongside the long-standing ecosystem of large, medium and small industrial firms, a new generation of agile, dual-track Deep Tech businesses offering disruptive technologies is now emerging as a key player in operational performance, from the highest strategic level down to the lowest tactical level.

Eurosatory LAB is the crucible of this transformation. Situated in Hall 5B, this dedicated space for the 2026 edition curates nearly 60 start-ups and tech companies from more than fifteen countries, covering the most strategic sectors: embedded artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, resilient navigation, cybersecurity, advanced materials, optronics, space and microsatellites. It brings together the technological vanguard that will shape the operations and industry of tomorrow.

Game-Changing Technologies to Support Operations
The companies exhibiting at Eurosatory LAB develop a wide range of solutions and technologies, among which: multi-sensor fusion for the identification, classification and tracking of drones using AI; an AI-driven autonomous drone interception system; an interface for fusing hyperspectral and thermal sensors into a 3D visual layer; autonomous navigation for drones, land and naval robotics; and a portable AI-based drone detector (dual-technology); night vision systems for security forces and the armed forces; secure and undetectable line-of-sight optical communication; jamming- and interference-resistant GPS/GNSS positioning, etc.

Exhibitor Focus | ORUS
Among the exhibitors at Eurosatory LAB, the French start-up ORUS perfectly illustrates the strategic shift that space represents for land defence. ORUS, a NewSpace company, is developing an on-board hyperspectral imaging solution for microsatellites. An initial launch is scheduled for 2027, followed by further launches to establish its first constellation.

At a time when high-intensity conflicts have demonstrated the decisive role of information superiority, and the vulnerability of forces that lack sovereign space capabilities, next-generation microsatellites are emerging as a key force multiplier: providing continuous battlefield coverage, resilient communications and precision targeting. ORUS’s appearance at Eurosatory LAB highlights the multi-domain nature of Eurosatory, as defence operations are, by their very nature, a combination of effects – one of the major trends at this 2026 edition.
