• Vietnam Airlines Scales Up India Network with Four Weekly Ahmedabad–Hanoi Flights

New Delhi, 13th October 2026: Vietnam Airlines, the national flag carrier of Vietnam, is further strengthening its presence in the Indian market with the launch of operations from Ahmedabad, marking its fifth station in India.

Starting 3 November 2026, Vietnam Airlines will operate four weekly flights between Ahmedabad and Hanoi, every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, providing travellers  from Gujarat and neighbouring markets with direct connectivity to Vietnam.

The launch marks another significant milestone in Vietnam Airlines’ India expansion strategy  and reflects the airline’s growing confidence in the Indian market. Aeroprime Group, the  Passenger GSA for Vietnam Airlines in India, has been closely supporting the airline’s  commercial growth and market development across the country.

With Ahmedabad joining the network, Vietnam Airlines will now serve five Indian stations,  strengthening connectivity between India and Vietnam while opening greater opportunities for  leisure, business and MICE travel.

India remains a strategic growth market for Vietnam Airlines

Vietnam Airlines Spokesperson, Nguyen Trung Hieu, Country Manager, India said:

“India is an increasingly important and strategic market for Vietnam Airlines, with strong growth  in travel demand, business exchanges and tourism between the two countries. The launch of  our Ahmedabad–Hanoi service marks another important step in expanding our presence in India  and bringing Vietnam closer to more Indian travellers.

“Ahmedabad and Gujarat represent a dynamic market with strong economic, business and  tourism potential. We are confident that this new service will create greater opportunities for  travel and strengthen the connectivity between the two countries. We look forward to working  closely with our partners, including Aeroprime, to further develop the India market and deliver  greater value to our customers.”

Aeroprime supports Vietnam Airlines’ continued India expansion

Abhishek Goyal, Executive Director & CEO, Aeroprime Group, said:

“Ahmedabad is a significant addition to Vietnam Airlines’ growing India network and a strong  reflection of the airline’s confidence in the market. As Passenger GSA for Vietnam Airlines in  India, Aeroprime has been closely aligned with the airline’s growth strategy and has been  working to build stronger market presence and demand across key Indian cities.

“With Ahmedabad becoming the fifth Indian station, Vietnam Airlines is expanding its footprint  at an exciting pace. Gujarat has a strong business community, growing outbound travel demand  and significant potential for Vietnam as a leisure and MICE destination. We are confident that  this new connectivity will further strengthen the India–Vietnam travel corridor.”

The new service will provide travellers from Gujarat with convenient access to Hanoi, while also  connecting onwards to Vietnam Airlines’ wider domestic and international network. Vietnam  Airlines currently serves major Indian markets including Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and  Bengaluru, with the airline identifying India as a key long-term growth market.

The India–Vietnam aviation market has witnessed strong growth, with more than 4,400  scheduled flights and nearly 820,400 passengers* recorded between the two countries during  the first six months of 2026 alone.

The addition of Ahmedabad further strengthens Vietnam Airlines’ commitment to the Indian  market and reinforces its role in supporting stronger tourism, trade, business and people-to people connectivity between India and Vietnam.
