INOX India Limited (INOXCVA), a global manufacturer of standard and engineered cryogenic equipment and systems, has been featured in a video by content creator Caleb Friesen. The video explores the company’s contribution to the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER), an international scientific collaboration focused on demonstrating the potential of fusion energy.
In the video, Friesen looks at the specialised cryogenic pipelines and systems engineered by INOX India for ITER. Located in Cadarache, France, the project brings together countries to investigate the processes that power the Sun. Its infrastructure includes cryogenic systems that help keep superconducting magnets at temperatures as low as 4 Kelvin (-269°C).
INOX India has supplied approximately 4.2 kilometres of vacuum-insulated cryogenic pipelines, known as Cryolines, and a 6-kilometre Warm Line network for critical helium and nitrogen distribution systems at ITER. The systems are part of the project’s specialised infrastructure and reflect the precision engineering required to support large-scale scientific research.
The feature also highlights India’s capabilities in advanced manufacturing and the engineering expertise involved in delivering equipment for complex international projects.
INOX India’s cryogenic capabilities serve a range of applications beyond scientific research, including space technology, liquefied natural gas (LNG), hydrogen infrastructure, and industrial gases. Across these sectors, cryogenic systems support the handling, storage, transportation, and distribution of materials at extremely low temperatures.
